Legal Ownership

• Company Ownership: Bloomex holds legal ownership of all business information stored on or passing through its systems, except for material clearly owned by third parties.
• Employment-Related Information: All business-related information developed by employees during their tenure at Bloomex is the property of the company, unless a specific written agreement signed by Bloomex General Counsel states otherwise.

Making Copies of Software

• License Compliance: Users must not make copies of or use software unless they are certain the copies comply with the vendor’s license agreement with Bloomex.
• Authorized Software: If a system used for processing Bloomex information has been set up by the Information Systems department, all software on this system is licensed and authorized. Questions about licensing should be directed to the IT department, which maintains documentation of software licenses.
• Backup Permissibility: Regular backups of software for contingency planning are permissible. Unauthorized software must be removed by IT from systems that process Bloomex information.

Information Labeling

• Label Maintenance: Users must maintain information about the source, date, and usage restrictions of all third-party information. This includes adhering to the labels specified in the “Information Sensitivity Classification” policy.
• Copyright Awareness: Users must assume that all materials on the Internet are copyrighted unless a specific notice states otherwise. Proper labeling ensures compliance with copyright and intellectual property laws and aids in management decision-making.
